Dear Subscriber,
It has come to our attention that several subscribers have received renewal offers from companies asking them to renew or extend their subscriptions. These offers may claim multiple year renewals at what they state to be discounted rates. These are not legitimate offers. We are not affiliated with these firms in any way, nor do we have a relationship with them.
An Internet search of these companies reveals that this is a pervasive problem for many publishers, both large and small. Aggressive methods to obtain you bank account or credit card information may be used. To protect yourself against identity theft, do not disclose any bank account information or credit card information to any company representing our titles. Do not send them checks or money orders. We have no relationship with these companies and cannot be of assistance in helping you obtain a refund.
Legitimate offers and renewal notices from Carstens Publications, Inc. always contain the Carstens Publications logo or the logo of Railfan & Railroad, Railroad Model Craftsman or Flying Models clearly printed on the envelope, notice and return envelope, and list our address in Newton, New Jersey.
